Yes, all of our boats have ample storage for your personal belongings.

Unfortunately, we do not have trips structured specifically for cruise ship passengers. However, depending on your ship’s specific schedule, we may be able to accommodate cruise ship guests on certain trips. Please call us with specific details on your cruise schedule to determine how we may accommodate you on our US Virgin Islands tours.

We would guarantee at the time of booking that the trip you are booking would return you in time.

No, there is no minimum age for children.

You should arrive for your trip at least 30 minutes prior departure.

For all our day trips we recommend bringing lotion sunscreen (no spray), towels, and cash for souvenirs and gratuities. Please, be sure to bring your VALID passport for international (BVI) trips.

Lotion-based, reef safe sunscreen. Spray sunscreens are not suitable for our boats as they create slippery decks and are reef-killers.

20% of the overall cost of the trip is a customary tip.

If you are going on one of our international trips you will need your VALID passport. This includes trips to Virgin Gorda (home of The Baths rock formations), Jost Van Dyke (home of the Soggy Dollar bar), and private BVI trips.

The Westin and Ritz-Carlton both provides free parking. As you enter the resort’s property, inform the security that you are going on a trip with Cruz Bay Watersports and they will direct you to the parking lot.

30 minutes prior to your departure time, you check-in at the Activities Desk located in front of our dive shop near the Westin Dock. Once you have checked-in with the Activities Desk, you will meet your captain and board the vessel.

Guests departing from The Ritz-Carlton will be directed to park in a designated parking area and then make their way through the main lobby down to The Aquatic Center on the beach for check-in. All guests are required to be at The Aquatic Center at LEAST 15 minutes prior to departure. All BVI trips require valid passports.

Our excursions happen rain or shine. Safety is our highest priority. Occasionally, we may cancel a trip due to unsafe weather conditions.

If we must cancel your reserved trip, we will do our best to reschedule your trip on a more suitable day or offer a refund if we cannot reschedule.

Customs fees are included in the listed prices, there will be no surprise costs to visit the BVI.

In the event of an emergency that prevents you from making your trip, please contact us as soon as possible.

In the rare event that an emergency happens on your trip, please listen to the instruction of the captain and crew – their #1 priority is to keep you safe. Also, please pay attention to safety information the crew provides at the beginning of your trip.

None of our trips have hidden or additional fees – all costs, including optional purchases, are listed on each trip description.

Cruz Bay Watersports does not currently offer photographic souvenirs of your excursion, but the crew is always willing to take photos with your phones or cameras and even with their own devices.

You are guaranteed to see turtles on our Turtle Tour or your next trip is free.

For group trips, our boats are equipped with playlists that are family-friendly. Guests on private charters can customize the music on their boat.

The cost of fuel is rolled into all trips, including private charters.

Our Private Charter Director will work with you to design your custom itinerary. Depending on your preferences, private charter itineraries may range between domestic trips around St. Thomas or St. John or venture as far as Virgin Gorda. Our SCUBA trips are designed for certified divers and SCUBA students. If you have non-diving members of your party, they are welcome to join as snorkelers or ride-a-longs for a fee.

Yes, we offer lessons from introductory one-day experiences to multi-day certification courses.

Our captain and dive guides choose the dive sites on the day of the USVI dive trip depending on the weather conditions and experience levels of divers on board. We try our best not to repeat sites for divers joining us on multiple trips. If you have specific sites you are interested in diving, please let us know in advance so the crew can add it to consideration when selecting sites.
